Eileen O’Connor left her homeland Ireland to work in the U.K. There she met Latvian refugee Jutvaldis Caune.
After they got married they immigrated to Canada where by the sweat of their brows they rose to the middle class.
In 1968 they adopted a boy and named him Paul and gave him a great life.
But in the 21st century they were taught by the government of BC that their son had no practical way to enforce his civil rights.
Jutvaldis died in 2014.
Eileen died in 2019.
