Paul Gauthier

Paul Gauthier, born with cerebral palsy, raised in foster and group homes, pioneered independent living at nineteen, adopted a foster son with disabilities, one of the fathers of the closest thing to independent funding Canada has, married and had another son, tirelessly advocates for voters with disabilities, won a gold medal in Paralympic boccia for Canada. And yet every day he lives with the fear that a civil servant can take away at their discretion the services Paul Gauthier used that made these accomplishments possible.
